73rd Independenceday was celebrated on 15thAugust 2019 at lCAR-NBAIR, Bengaluruwith hoisting of national flag by Dr. ChandishR.Ballal, Director, ICAR-NBAIR and singing of national anthem by all the staff. While addressing the staff the director stressed upon the importance of preserving the unity and integrity of India. She also evinced the progress made by the bureau in all fields. Encouraging the participation of staff with family members she reminded the onus on working hard for the welfare of farmers.
Later cultural program was arranged by the staff welfare association with singing of patriotic songs. Wards of NBAIR staff who secured distinction in 10th and 12th standard were felicitated on the occasion. A special honor was bestowed upon Mr. PamalaNagaiah, a supporting staff who had encouraged his son to join the Indian Army.
