The different geographical populations of Helicoverpa armigera utilized different blends of Z-11-hexadecenal and Z9- hexadecenal, proved through electro antennogram and behavioural experiments
Synergistic activity was observed when odorant mixtures were presented to the insects in comparison to individual as the insects perceive the blends as different compounds though it is not possible to identify new compounds in the mixtures through analytical methods.
Developed attractants for chrysopids and trichogrammatids which can be used as reinforcing agent in the fields
Cultivars such as MCU-5 or MCU- 9 were highly preferred by entomophages because of their favorable chemical and physical characteristics.
Conservation of natural enemies through tritrophic interactions and use of semiochemicals was proved.
